Mediareach Star picks up UN campaign in Iraq

The United Nations has chosen Mediareach Star to handle a nationwide campaign to publicize development projects and handle recruitment campaigns in Iraq, the London-based agency
announced last month.

Run out of London by CEO Saad Al-Saraf, who was born in Iraq, Mediareach Star has been operating in the
UK for 20 years. In a company statement, Al-Saraf “expressed his delight and excitement at the win and
said it reflects a vote of confidence the agency has been getting from clients and government
institutions.”

The agency has been behind campaigns for Iraqi Police Service, the Iraqi National Guards, the US
Army, the anti-terrorism campaigns and public information campaigns since the overthrow of Saddam
Hussain.

“We have been delivering high quality campaigns which have been run efficiently for the past four years
in Iraq,” Al’Saraf says. “Our staff have been spending time at our agency in London and have had
training in Germany and we expect high quality service delivered to our clients regardless of the difficult
situation Iraq is going through.”

The agency has set up offices in Baghdad and Erbil. It also has an outdoor printing plant, digital radio
studio, and film, radio and television production facilities in the country.
